Best tour booking sites: Viator, GetYourGuide, Klook, Tiqets, Airbnb, Expedia and booking direct

Best tour booking sites: the short answer

The best tour booking sites for US travelers are Viator and GetYourGuide, the two broad marketplaces for guided tours and day trips, with Tiqets, Expedia and the attraction's own site as the picks for particular bookings. Viator's home page says it has 400,000+ travel experiences; one, the Pearl Harbor USS Arizona Memorial Tour from Waikiki, was from $55.00 per person as read on October 13, 2026.

Pick Viator for guided tours and day trips, GetYourGuide for Best Price Matching on the same activity, Tiqets for museum and attraction tickets priced per ticket, and Expedia if you earn OneKeyCash by signing in. The example prices are for different products and bases, so they show what each site sells, not which is cheapest. Viator and GetYourGuide: the two broad marketplaces

Viator sells guided tours, day trips and tickets run by independent operators. Its Stonehenge, Windsor Castle, and Bath from London day trip, run by Evan Evans Tours, was from $106.32 per person, a from-price set before an option is chosen; entrance to Stonehenge, Windsor Castle and the Roman Baths is included only if that option is selected, so the from-price may not cover them. Its Sydney page showed a Blue Mountain Small Group Tour All Inclusive from $163. Both were read on October 13, 2026. The Viator review covers the rest.

Viator says most experiences give a full refund when canceled at least 24 hours in advance, and each listing shows its own policy. Reserve Now and Pay Later, which reserves a booking without payment up front, covers most of its tours and activities, per its help center, and the payment date is on your booking.

GetYourGuide's terms give a full refund more than 24 hours before the start unless the listing says otherwise, and debit a pay-later booking 72 hours before the start on selected activities.

Both offer a price promise with conditions. Viator's Lowest Price Guarantee covers a lower price for the same tour or activity from the same provider, priced in the same currency, with one refund request per booking for price fluctuations. GetYourGuide's Best Price Matching pays the difference if the same activity is cheaper elsewhere, and excludes loyalty-member offers, corporate rates and group rates. Its terms add that its posted price can be higher than the operator's price on other platforms.

Klook, Tiqets and Airbnb Experiences

Klook labels each activity with one of three cancellation types: free cancellation inside a stated period, conditional cancellation, which can carry a handling fee, or none. You can use KlookCash once you hold at least 10 KlookCash, and it expires 365 days after the day it is earned. No Klook price was read on October 13, 2026; it is on Klook's page.

Tiqets sells tickets per venue, priced per ticket and per person with applicable taxes included. Its terms allow cancellation only where the product description says so, while its home page says "Flexible cancellation options on all venues"; the Tower of London ticket page lists a full refund until 24 hours before.

Airbnb Experiences are host-run, most carry a 1-day cancellation policy, and the card is charged as soon as the reservation is confirmed. Its Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island Guided Experience, 4 hours, was from $64 per guest.

Expedia and booking direct

Expedia listed a Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island Tour at $69 per adult, taxes and fees included. It offers OneKeyCash for signing in, and its terms say Things to do bookings are not usually refundable or changeable unless the provider cancels.

Official sellers set their own terms. The National Park Service names Statue City Cruises as the only authorized ferry provider to the Statue of Liberty, and Alcatraz City Cruises for Alcatraz. Hoover Dam sells its Dam Tour, $40 per person, only on site. The Vatican Museums' tariffs page says tickets cannot be refunded.

How to compare one tour across sites

1. Find the operator on each listing: Viator says "Supplied by", GetYourGuide says "Activity provider" and Tiqets says "Provider".
2. Match the option and the basis: Viator and GetYourGuide quote per person, Expedia per adult and Airbnb per guest.
3. Match the cancellation line and the payment date of the exact listing.
4. Read the checkout total, and on Viator check what the listing says about local taxes and fees, before calling one cheaper.

Historic Royal Palaces supplies the Tower of London and Crown Jewels ticket on all three: Viator listed it from $51.14 per person, GetYourGuide from $50 per person and Tiqets from $50.24. No checkout total was read, so none is called cheaper. See Viator alternatives for the rest.
