Best tour booking sites for USA trips: the short answer

For US trips, the best tour booking sites are the official sellers where they sell the ticket, and Viator, GetYourGuide, Expedia and Airbnb Experiences for guided tours. The National Park Service lists the Alcatraz day tour at $47.95 for an adult on its only authorized ferry, and Hoover Dam sells its Dam Tour only on site.

As read on October 13, 2026, Viator listed its Statue of Liberty tour with reserved ferry entry from $59.00 per person; GetYourGuide, Expedia and Airbnb list their own tours on their own price basis. The tours differ in operator, length and inclusions, so the prices show a range, not a ranking, and no checkout total was read.

Pick Viator for a guided bus day trip such as Grand Canyon West from Las Vegas. Pick Expedia if you earn OneKeyCash on activities, Airbnb Experiences for host-run activities priced per guest, and Statue City Cruises for the ferry alone. New York: Statue of Liberty and observation decks

The National Park Service says the Statue of Liberty is reachable only by ferry, names Statue City Cruises as the only NPS-authorized ferry provider, and warns about unauthorized ticket sellers near The Battery; the warning names no website. Its ferry fares are $26.00 for an adult 13 and over, $17.00 for ages 4 to 12 and $23.00 for 62 and over, on a page updated March 2, 2026. Viator's tour and GetYourGuide's tour both leave out crown and pedestal access.

For observation decks, the Empire State Building's own site lists the 86th Floor Main Deck from $46. Viator's New York page showed a card for the SUMMIT One Vanderbilt Experience Ticket from $48, and Expedia listed it at $48 per adult for the dates it filled in, October 27 to 28, 2026. Las Vegas: Grand Canyon West and Hoover Dam

As read on October 13, 2026, Viator's Grand Canyon West day trip from Las Vegas was from $94.00 per person, 10 to 11 hours (approx.). Lunch, the Skywalk ticket and the helicopter and pontoon ride are included only if that option is selected, and the listing says the places it visits are not subject to U.S. National Park entrance fees.

Hoover Dam's page from the Bureau of Reclamation lists the Dam Tour at $40 per person. Its tickets cannot be bought online; they are sold only on site, first come first served, with the last tour at 4:10 pm, and Interagency Passes are not accepted.

San Francisco and Oahu: Alcatraz and Pearl Harbor

The National Park Service lists the Alcatraz day tour at $47.95 for an adult 18 and over and names Alcatraz City Cruises as the only authorized ferry. Its hours page, last updated April 27, 2021, says it frequently sells out in advance. Viator's Alcatraz Inside Access Ferry and Audio Tour with Night Option was from $90.99 per person; it is self-guided, and its page says it is non-refundable and cannot be changed for any reason.

For Pearl Harbor, the National Park Service strongly recommends reservations for the USS Arizona Memorial program, says the first-come ticket system was discontinued, and asks visitors to arrive one hour before the program.
